Week 9 term 2

 KAYA,

Well done to all the students who participated in the OLC Cross Country. We received on some fabulous feedback from the other teachers on how helpful and respectful the Year 6 students were on the day. Well done team to all our winners and to the leaders!

Vinnie's Winter Appeal

Thank you to all those people that donated to the Vinnie's Winter Appeal, well done to the Year 6 leaders that ensured that this wonderful initiative was carried out in OLC. There was a full Ute load of rugs, blankets, jackets, jumpers, and scarfs going to those in need this winter! Well done guys, Making Jesus Real!

Important Homework

Please note there are a number of Year 6 students who are not completing their homework and seesaw tasks and projects when they are due. Many of the same students are not bringing their diaries to school for organisation. Please note homework routines and diary preparation and projects are an important routine for preparing your child for high school. In Term 3 and 4 homework will increase in line with the school policy.  Further, should your child does not turn in their diary and homework on time, I will be notifying you.

Year 6 Camp

I hope you received the letter for the Year 6 camp from your child this week. Unfortunately, there are still some letters that have not yet been returned. Can you please ensure these are returned tomorrow.

Camp Homework:
We have now completed our camp task homework. However, in the last two weeks of school. I will be asking those students who have not completed these tasks yet to get this done.

Seesaw:
The seesaw password for the students to access seesaw have changed.  As such, I have sent home new log in details for the children today (either glued into their diaries or in their computer bags).  The parent log in should not have changed, but if you have problems accessing seesaw, please let me know.

Rube Goldberg Machine
Wow, just wow! The Rube Goldberg machines that we have watched in class are just fabulous and I have no doubt were so much fun. Some great learning there.  If your child has not completed their video and posted it on Seesaw, please encourage them to do so.

Human Development
As the OLC Cross Country was held on Thursday last week, our human development workshop has been moved to another date. It will now be held on Tuesday the 28th of June. The boys session will be held from 9am - 10.30am and the girls session will be held from 11am - 12.30pm.

Year 6 Tree Planting - Ludlow Forest
On Thursday the 30th of June, we will be taking the Year 6 students to Ludlow Forest to volunteer to help plant trees. This activity will take most of the day. We will depart OLC at 9.20am and we will arrive back to school by 3pm. The students will need to wear sport clothes and bring wet weather gear and will need to bring a packed lunch and water.

I hope you have a wonderful week, please do not hesitate to reach out to me should you have any questions.

Thank you,

Mr Mc
