Week 1 &2 Term 1 2023

K AY A, What an exciting first two weeks we have had! We are very proud of our little 6M family and their resilience this week, with first week jitters, new roles and responsibilities and swimming lessons in choppy water and piercing sun. Each student showed the OLC school values despite feeling tired. We hope they rest up this weekend and are ready for another week full of learning and fun! 🏊 Timetable (post-swimming): Please note on Monday, week 3 we will start out normal timetable without swimming lessons. Please see this timetable below and note days for sport uniform. 6M has physical education with Mrs Sinclair on Wednesday and dance with Mrs Haines on a Friday, so therefore 6M will have to wear their teal school sport uniform on Wednesday and their faction sport uniform on Friday.  Parish Mass: Please note both Year 6 classes will walk to the Church on Wednesday to take part in the parish mass with the Dunsborough community. Week 9 & 10 of Term 1

  K AY A, Can you believe that we have less than two weeks until the end of term 1? Congratulations, to all those students who completed their Year 4 Eucharist this morning. What a beautiful ceremony held at the church. It was nice to see so many of our Year 6 leaders, either celebrating this occasion with their families, playing in the school band or singing and supporting. 🙌 Our Learning: Seesaw  - Please log in to your child's seesaw account so that you can start to see some of their assessments displayed. The students have already posted a Reading activity, will be posting a Math assessment this week and a Religion one in the coming weeks. Please let me know if you need a new login sent home this week.  Math  - Throughout this term in the Measurement and Geometry strand of Math, we have been looking at perimeter, area, surface are, 3D shapes and their nets. End of Term 3

  K AY A, Wow-wee! Term 3 has really been a whirlwind, and we are not even close to finishing yet.  Firstly, well done to the superb talent at OLC's Got Talent on Friday! Well done to the Arts team who assisted with running the event! Next week, we will hope to welcome you all to the classroom for Learning Journey on Wednesday and then we have the massive OLC Sports Carnival on Friday! We will be praying for blue skies! 💙💚💛💓  Peace Poster: We have been blown away by the student's efforts on their Peace Poster this year. The posters will be available for viewing in the hall during Learning Journey, so don't forget to pay a stop to the hall. The students and staff from OLC will start voting for the peace poster winner this week.
