Term 3

Welcome back to Term 3....over half way through the year!

I hope you had a fabulous break over the holidays and were able to rest and recuperate!

Term 3 promises to be a super busy term, kicking off with camp next week.

We are so excited to take the Year 6 students on camp this year! Please refer to the camp packing list for preparing your child for camp, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out. We will be departing Wednesday morning next week (Week 2). The cost for camp is now due to the office. We will be in touch during the week about the COVID safe precautions for camp. If you have any concerns in the meantime please do not hesitate to reach out.

This term, you may find that your child is a little more convincing or persuasive.  Let me apologise for this up front, but we have started Persuasive writing. We are using some fun podcasts to learn about what makes an argument persuasive and how we can be more persuasive.

Over the next few weeks we will be continuing our fraction unit, extending this into decimals and percentage.  This unit includes operations with decimals, comparing and matching with lots of fun games and activities to help build our knowledge.

In science we are continuing with our unit on electricity and today were exploring simple circuits, making and modifying these to light bulbs or turn motors.  Lots of learning and the kids were very engaged.  We will then move into chemical science.

New Class Timetable

As we no longer have dance, our class timetable has now changed.  Please see below the new timetable and note that we also now have library on Thursday.
